A woman was killed when a motorcycle wheel was dislodged Thursday. According to police reports, the motorcycle lost one of its wheels, and the two people riding on the motorcycle were thrown off. 

When medical officials arrived to the scene of the accident, the husband was taken to a nearby hospital for treatment while his wife was pronunced dead at the scene of the accident.

A car hit a trailer of a Ford pickup in a hit-and-run accident Sunday on U.S. 301 north of East 63rd Avenue. The impact caused the pickup to force a motorcycle off the road. 

The Yamaha motorcylce hit a median as the motorcyclist, Gary Garrot, was thrown into the air. Police officials said Garrot was in serious condition at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg.

The Ford Pickup was driven by Terry Boozer, who received minor injuries and said the hit-and-run car was a gold-colored vehicle. Highway patrol officials said the hit-and-run motorist has not been found.
