Holiday man killed in motorcycle accident

A man from Holiday was killed in a motorcycle-pickup truck accident Saturday. According to police reports, the accident occurred on U.S. Highway 19 in Pinellas County. 
 
The driver of the pickup truck apparently was making a left turn when his vehicle allegedly hit a motorcycle. When medical officials arrived to the scene of the accident, the motorcycle operator was taken to Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg, where he was later pronounced dead. 

Speeding motorcyclist in critical condition

According to Tampa police, a 24-year-old Tampa man was speeding westbound on Waters Avenue early Tuesday morning when he crashed into the back of another driver's car. 

The accident occurred at 6:37 a.m at the intersection of Walters Avenue and Sunstate street.  The driver of the car was making a U-turn when the motorcyclist hit the left rear of his vehicle. The impact ejected the motorcyclist from his bike. 

Luckily, the man was wearing a helmet. He was airlifted to St. Joseph's hospital in critical condition.  Police do not believe that drugs or alcohol were involved in the accident.

Motorcyclist seriously injured in hit-and-run accident

A car hit a trailer of a Ford pickup in a hit-and-run accident Sunday on U.S. 301 north of East 63rd Avenue. The impact caused the pickup to force a motorcycle off the road. 

The Yamaha motorcylce hit a median as the motorcyclist, Gary Garrot, was thrown into the air. Police officials said Garrot was in serious condition at Bayfront Medical Center in St. Petersburg.

The Ford Pickup was driven by Terry Boozer, who received minor injuries and said the hit-and-run car was a gold-colored vehicle. Highway patrol officials said the hit-and-run motorist has not been found.
